Zoa Peak Ramble
Zoa Peak is located in the Coquihalla Summit Provincial Park. The trailhead is at the end of the Falls Lake Road. The trail starts on a double track and climbs up to a ridge, then turns onto a steep winding single track up the mountain.
The first half of the hike is harder than the second half, which winds uphill through sub-alpine meadows. The return hike is abut 9 km.
There are a number of viewpoints, including this one toward Yak Peak.
The end of the trail is in a subalpine meadow looking north to Guanaco, Vicuna, and Alpaca Peaks.
Fall is a good time to hike the trail after the trail dries out, the mosquitoes are past, and very few hikers in the area.
A hike up and back (including lunch) took about 4 hours. This is a hike we enjoy every year and we are planning to return next October.
