Delicate Arch
This trail is a nice one, but there will be lots of people along the route and at the arch. In Arches National Park, take the Delicate Arch Road and park at the trailhead. The trail climbs up to the top of the hill and back over 3 miles (5km). The upper part goes along a ledge to a slickrock bowl right above Delicate Arch, which sits at the edge of cliffs.
This photogenic arch is also featured on Utah license plates and promotional materials. In spite of the crowds, it is a nice hike to an impressive sight. We chose to scramble along the slickrock to get views from every side. Anyone who does this has to be very careful because of drop-offs on two sides. The reward, though, is different views from the standard one. We chose to make our own trail across the rock back to the lower trails too. The hike is short so it can be combined with another hike (we did 4 that day).
