Lyons Lake Hike
Lyons Lake is located at the southern end of the Sullivan Valley. It can be accessed by an old rough road from the Heffley Creek Dump. It is about 2.5 km along the double track to the lake.
The track is usually fairly quiet, but on busy weekends there may be ATVs in the area. Close to Lyons Lake the road splits into two with the left fork leading to the south end of the lake.
The north end of the lake is ranching territory and a fence ends the access route part way up the lake, but there are good views along the southern end of the lake.
The lake is a quiet spot in the hills, a scenic hike in the fall.
