On a snowy winter day, I hike the Batchelor Hills,  going up the Tower Trail and coming back down the Cows with Guns Trail.   I hiked in a snow storm for the second half of the outing.

All of the trail was in sagebrush grasslands.

I hiked through the gap between the Tower Hill and Batchelor Hill to the saddle and back, choosing different trails for a loop route on the snow.

A wet snow fell, but it was mild, at the end of the winter season.

I was amused by the trail name “Cows with Guns.”   I know the song and it was stuck in my head while I hiked.   A video of my hike and a video of the song is included below:
