Lac le Jeune Stomp
On grey winter day we hiked on snowy trails at Lac le Jeune. From the end of Lac le Jeune Drive, we followed a user track which wound through the lodgepoles pines to the Gus Johnson Trail. The trail around the lake had not been stomped in so we went out to the lake and hiked near the shoreline to the end of the lake.
There were some snowshoe tracks, a groomed cross country track and some snowmobile tracks which went to the east end of the lake.
The sun started to break through the clouds near the end.We retraced our tracks for a while, making sure we stayed off the cross country track, then followed a single track along the lakeshore, then wound up to the start area, a 7.25 km stomp on the south side of Lac le Jeune.
